The G82/G83 is the BMW M4 generation our specification records cover for US model years 2021–2026. Across that run EPA certified 24 versions of it for sale in America, under 6 trim names. It was sold as a coupe and convertible.

Dimensions are the figures the panel above does not carry. The G82/G83 measures 188.6 in · 4,790 mm long, sits on a wheelbase of 112.2 in · 2,850 mm and weighs 3,748 lb · 1,700 kg. Length and wheelbase come from Transport Canada, which measures every vehicle sold in North America; curb weight from the same source.

The generation did not stand still: the strongest version rose from 503 hp in 2021 to 523 hp in 2026. A G82/G83 from the first model year and one from the last are not the same proposition, which is worth remembering when a listing gives only the chassis code.
