BMW 3 Series G20/G21

The G20/G21 is the BMW 3 Series generation our specification records cover for US model years 2020–2026. Across that run EPA certified 36 versions of it for sale in America, under 12 trim names. It was sold as a sedan and Touring.

Dimensions are the figures the panel above does not carry. The G20/G21 measures 185.4 in · 4,709 mm long, sits on a wheelbase of 112.2 in · 2,850 mm and weighs 3,494 lb · 1,585 kg to 3,902 lb · 1,770 kg. Length and wheelbase come from Transport Canada, which measures every vehicle sold in North America; curb weight from the same source.

Set against the F30 that preceded it, the G20/G21 is 3.1 inches longer at the shortest version and 244 lb · 111 kg heavier at the lightest. Both figures are taken from the lightest and shortest version we hold for each, so they compare like with like rather than setting a base car against a loaded one.
