Valvetronic
Instead of using a traditional throttle, Valvetronic
technology lets the engine breathe more easily
by varying the lift height of the valves to regulate
air intake. The result: improved cold starts,
smoother running, and a significant drop in fuel
consumption. Using revolutionary tech nology
such as this, BMW has improved its overall
average fuel economy more than any other
manufacturer.
