BMW's xDrive all-wheel-drive system gives you more than just asphalt-grabbing traction and superb control. Together with the Dynamic Stability We call it xDrive. You'll call it a joy to drive.
Control (DSC) sensors, xDrive links the X3's safety and handling features with the vehicle's engine management system, giving you the utmost
driving confidence in any conditions. Braking, cornering and accelerating maneuvers are optimized for maximum efficiency and dependability.
DSC features include Brake Drying, which automatically snugs the brake pads up to the rotors to dry them when moisture is detected; Brake
Stand-by, which, when you suddenly remove your foot from the throttle, pre-tenses the brake calipers for quicker action; and Brake Fade
Compensation, which keeps your foot's brake pedal action the same, no matter how hot the brakes get. The X3 is also the first BMW SAV® to
include Dynamic Traction Control (DTC) as a part of its DSC system, delivering even higher performance in tight turns and on slippery roads.
