through the night, the fleeting glare of streetlights hide, then reveal the finely formed
curves and creases, the muscular shoulder lines, the attention-getting silhouette. It’s
the riveting effect of a taut, beautiful body in motion.

The 650i Convertible is a marvel of engineering. Case in point: the design and convenience
of its fully automatic softtop. The top can be opened and closed in a matter of seconds simply
by pressing a button on the dash or on the key fob. When closed, it gives the Convertible the
sleek, sculpted silhouette of the Coupe. Thanks to an advanced three-layer construction and
plastic core, it provides insulation from heat, cold and wind noise. In fact, BMW’s acoustic
insulation sets the standard for quiet convertible cabins. The heated glass rear window operates
completely independently of the top. You can keep it up when the top is down, to act as a
windscreen, or put all five windows down with the top up for draft-free ventilation. A lesser car
could easily be overshadowed by a top this advanced.

The 650i’s alluring exterior is complemented by an elegant, well-appointed
interior. Seating for four is lavished in supple Dakota Leather or Pearl Leather,
which, in the Convertible, includes BMW’s unique Sun-Reflective Technology. This process incorporates mirror-like pigments into the leather
dye to reflect the sun’s infrared rays, helping to keep seats and other
upholstered surfaces cooler to the touch, even when the top is left down.
The interior is enriched with a choice of three trims: genuine Maple or
Dark Birch Wood, or Brushed Aluminum; control knobs are appealingly
accented in Chrome Pearl Gray. Fill the cabin with 360 degrees of digitally
adjusted surround sound with the Premium Sound Package that includes
the Logic7 audio system, a six-disc CD player, and iPod® and USB adapter.
Then add HD Radio™ to receive free, digital broadcasts with CD-quality
