There are no specification pages behind it, and that is a gap in the source rather than in the car. Everything numerical on this site comes from EPA fuel-economy filings, EPA certification test records and Transport Canada vehicle specifications; none of the three reaches back far enough to cover the E23. Where a figure would have to be guessed, we leave it out.
What the brochure does carry is what BMW printed for American buyers at the time: the equipment lists, the specification tables and the wording of the warranty of that era. For this generation it is the whole of the record we hold, and it is a primary document rather than a retelling.
